Homefix Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
1.1 Homefix (“Homefix,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) (“PIPEDA”) and this Privacy Policy.
1.2 This Policy applies to personal information collected through the Homefix website, mobile application, and related platforms (collectively, the “Platform”).
1.3 By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Homefix may collect:
- Your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address
- Your payment information
- Your account login credentials
- Your order history and communication records
- Photos or other content you upload, such as a product review
- Device information, IP address, browser type, and usage data
- Location information, where you permit it
3. How We Collect Information
3.1 Homefix collects information through account registration, purchases, customer support interactions, the Platform’s contact forms, cookies and analytics tools, and AI-assisted features such as product search and recommendations.
4. How We Use Personal Information
4.1 Homefix uses personal information to:
- Process and fulfill your orders
- Process payments
- Communicate with you about your order or account
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Personalize product recommendations
- Improve the Platform
- Prevent fraud and verify your identity
- Comply with its legal obligations
- Operate AI-assisted tools and customer support technologies, as described in section 5
4.2 Homefix will not use your personal information for a purpose materially different from those described in this Policy without your consent, except where permitted or required by law.
5. AI and Automated Technologies
5.1 Homefix may use AI and automated tools to assist with product recommendations, search functionality, customer support, content generation, and fraud prevention.
5.2 AI-generated output may not always be accurate or complete. Homefix does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated recommendations or content.
5.3 Information you submit may be processed by automated systems for operational, quality assurance, and improvement purposes.
6. Marketing Communications
6.1 Homefix will send you a commercial electronic message, such as a marketing email, only with your consent, in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (“CASL”). Every commercial electronic message from Homefix will identify Homefix, provide contact information, and include a mechanism to unsubscribe at no cost.
6.2 You may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting Homefix at info@homefix.ca. Withdrawing consent does not affect a transactional message related to an order you placed, such as a shipping confirmation.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
7.1 Homefix uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, authenticate your account, analyze usage, and personalize content.
7.2 Information collected through Cookies may include your IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, and session duration.
7.3 A third-party service provider, such as an analytics or payment processor, may place Cookies on Homefix’s behalf.
7.4 You can manage or disable Cookies through your browser settings. Disabling Cookies may affect the Platform’s functionality.
8. How We Share Information
8.1 Homefix may disclose personal information to:
- Its employees and authorized personnel
- Payment processors and delivery providers
- Technology vendors and cloud storage providers
- Analytics and marketing partners, where you have consented
- A legal or regulatory authority, where required by law
- A successor or purchaser in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
8.2 Homefix does not sell personal information to a third party for that party’s independent commercial use.
8.3 A third-party service provider may process information on Homefix’s behalf inside or outside Canada. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by a foreign authority.
9. Data Storage and Security
9.1 Homefix maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, proportional to the sensitivity of the information.
9.2 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You acknowledge that information transmitted over the internet may be subject to a security risk beyond Homefix’s control.
10. Breach Notification
10.1 If Homefix experiences a breach of security safeguards that poses a real risk of significant harm to you, Homefix will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify you, as required under PIPEDA.
10.2 Homefix maintains a record of every breach of security safeguards, regardless of risk level, for at least 24 months, as required under PIPEDA.
11. Data Retention
11.1 Homefix retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, maintain business and legal records, resolve disputes, and meet its legal obligations. Information no longer required is securely deleted, anonymized, or destroyed.
12. Your Rights
12.1 You have the right to:
- Access the personal information Homefix holds about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw your consent to a use described in this Policy, subject to legal or contractual restriction
- File a complaint with Homefix or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
12.2 To exercise these rights, contact Homefix at info@homefix.ca. Homefix will respond within a reasonable time.
12.3 Withdrawing your consent may limit Homefix’s ability to provide you with products or services.

13. Children’s Privacy
13.1 The Platform is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, an individual under the age of 18. Homefix does not knowingly collect personal information from a minor. If Homefix learns it has collected personal information from a minor without the consent of a parent or guardian, it will delete that information.
14. Third-Party Websites
14.1 The Platform may link to a third-party website or service. Homefix is not responsible for the privacy practices of a third party. Review a third party’s privacy policy before providing it with your information.
15. International Data Transfers
15.1 Your personal information may be processed, stored, or transferred outside Ontario or Canada, including to a jurisdiction with different privacy laws. By using the Platform, you consent to a transfer permitted under this Policy and applicable law.
16. Changes to This Policy
16.1 Homefix may revise this Policy at any time. A revised Policy applies from the date it is posted on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after a revision means you accept the revised Policy.
